FAQ
A few words
about Paglyph.
What is Paglyph?
Paglyph is a reading companion app that helps you understand, save, and review the words you find while reading. Take a photo of a page, tap a word, explore its meaning in context, and build a vocabulary library.
How do I capture a word?
Point your camera at a page and tap a word. Paglyph brings its sentence along automatically, so you can explore the meaning without typing it out.
How is Paglyph different from a dictionary?
A word can mean different things in different sentences. Paglyph combines dictionary definitions with AI-powered explanations to help you understand how a word is being used in your reading.
Can I save words for later?
Yes. Save words with their definitions and original sentences in your personal library. When you return to a word, the context you discovered it in is there too.
How does Paglyph help me remember new words?
Review saved words with flashcards and rate how well you remember them. Paglyph uses your responses to schedule future reviews. You can also set a daily word goal and a review reminder.
Does Paglyph work offline?
Your saved library is available offline while you’re signed in and have access to the app. New lookups and AI explanations require an internet connection.
Can I sync my library?
Yes. With iCloud sync enabled, your saved words, review progress, and learning preferences can sync across devices using the same iCloud account. You can manage this in Settings.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Use your Apple Account to create or access your Paglyph account.
Does Paglyph require a subscription?
Yes. Paglyph offers monthly and yearly subscriptions. Pricing varies by country or region and currency. Check the app for your local price and any eligible free trial before subscribing.
Where can I manage my subscription?
Open Settings in Paglyph, then tap your profile at the top to manage your subscription.
